William Burgher of the Rotax Flying And Safety Club was that Sun and Fun 2013 with a special announcement for Rotax 912 iS aircraft engine owners. Until July 31 of 2013, Rotax 912 iS engines purchased in selected areas will be eligible for an extended warranty program.

The warranty extension takes the engine from the current 12 months or 200 hours to 30 months or 400 hours. The one caveat is that the engine must be registered.

If you have recently purchased a 912 iS aircraft engine, and would like to take advantage of the extended warranty program log into www.rotaxflyingclub.com. Go to the top right-hand corner of the page and click on engine registration, once the page is loaded fill-in your 912 iS aircraft engine serial number and follow the instructions.

Another website that should prove of interest is www.rotaxirmt.com. This site gives a list of all the Rotax aircraft engine service centers, and independent Rotax Maintenance Technicians. It also lists approved Rotax training centers where you can find aircraft engine course dates and locations.
